Not so long ago, I knew well a wise-witch who practiced a wide variety of crafts – namely Deistic Satanism, Chaos Magic and others along the same ilk. Over the time we spent together, she imparted on me a number of new skills. One of which I will cover here.

Conjuration;

Unakin to the common concept thereof (to bring forth that which already exists, or to summon), Conjuration in her eyes existed as a form of creation – or more accurately channeling energies to bring forth a tulpa being. She called this Conjuration of a Demon, whereas I saw opportunity for a great number of creative possibilities. Our interpretation of Demons matched in part, but I (believing in no inherent moral dualism within the Universe) have a different view of what are thought to be Demons.

The Christian perceptions of Demons fits more with Lost, Tainted Spirits – whether sentient or not (poltergeist activity). Fractured pieces of a collective soul, left to wallow in a self-induced hell that inevitably transforms them literally into the monsters they see themselves to be. Some can be returned from this state, while others can only be returned to Creation. When I refer to Demons, these are not the ones I reference.

When I say Demons, I mean entities of the Darkness. As aforementioned, I believe in no inherent moral duality, that is not to say I do not divide beings into groups with commonalities. Demons exist as those beings who favor the Darkness and all that it represents. As such, they are no more morally impure than any other being, they exist to serve a function just as anything does. They devour like energy. The Lowly, the Dark, the Unknown – things often associated with Christian demon iconography. Most importantly, however, I believe opposite their ideologies. This beings do not cause these disturbances, these beings are drawn to them – to devour them. In a sense, they’re Cosmic Housekeepers, set to return the Dark to the Dark. “Demon problems/possessions” are (at least when they’re actually Demons and not the aforementioned Spirits) not the cause of anguish, the anguish is the cause for their presence. Places, people, or things that exude “dark” energies (fear, hate, anger, even some forms of lust, etc.) attracts these beings who are tasked with dispelling this. However, given the portrayal and superstitions of the Western Mind, their presence can cause fear in the mortal mind, and thereby, a loop can ensue and keep these beings locked in the proximity of the energy source.

It is these beings I have conjured, for they are made of precisely what they dispel. The lowly emotions. As such, the conjuration thereof requires 1) the ability to express these emotions constructively and pointedly as a form of creation or 2) the collection of these forces and energies within a given space, place, or object to bring forth a Demon of your own creation to tend the space or heed your desires.

I’ve always found it very helpful to have something to bridge the planes, something as simple as a rock or a sort of vessel to “tie” the being to, and allowing it access to the physical as well as the astral and mental planes. Conjurations is the balance and alignment of the planes for long enough to align the mental, with the astral, with the physical to use the converging energies to bring forth an entity of your own creation – tasked with your desire or the “duties” associated with the energy gathered. For example, if they are constructed of Light, Dark, Natural, Spirit/Dead, etc. Whichever is used and gathered will determine the inclination of the being manifested.

I will not note the process in detail, unless requested. But if you choose to attempt to do so, remember to bridge the planes, and never forget the power of a Name.
