Listen y’all, I love witches… but if, as a witch, you don’t stand up for:

* Black Lives
* Indigenous Lives (& Lands)
* The Disabled
* The LGBTQ+ community
* Muslims
* And all people who are marginalized here (in the US) and abroad
(All of whom have shaped this community in one way or another)

Then I don’t think you understand what it means to be a witch. Argue all you want, rationalize hate or apathy, I don’t care. I just hope one day you will see that there is power in empathy and decency.

I myself am an empathetic witch, and I do consider myself decent, but I must say I doubt every witch out in the world is a witch to be nice. I’m certain there are witches born from vengeance, and some witches who, like myself, separate their craft from their political opinions.

My heart goes to people who feel pain and hurt and marginalization, but I uphold the right of any human (or other) to disagree. This is the right of any being.

Believing large groups of people should have the same rights as everyone else isn’t political. I’m not saying a witch has to be nice, lord knows I have no problem cursing people who deserve it, on an individual basis.

But think of it this way: would toy curse someone only for being black, indigenous, LGBT+, etc.? Does that not sound absolutely ridiculous?

I’m fine with everyone having the right to their opinion, but I’m not going to give validation to those who strip the inherent right to life and existence from others.
